Camp kids had a great time this year! The Creation Museum and Ark Encounter present Biblical and scientific evidence – contrasting and comparing with naturalistic views in an engaging and effective manner. We also made a stop at the John Rankin House in Ripley, Ohio, where Rev. Rankin and others were part of the ‘underground railroad’ during the War Between the States. “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.” Genesis 1:1 in the Bible opens with these profound words, and John 1:1 opens with the same phrase: “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made.” These statements, along with the account of the worldwide flood in Genesis chapter 7 are among the most hotly debated claims of the Bible!
It is with mixed emotions that we share that Scott Hilt (affectionately known at the camp as ‘G-paw’) passed into the presence of Christ on October 4, 2022. Mixed because we grieve, but joyful because we know he’s with his Savior.
